'5 Hours To Georgia' Out Today
The year was 2020. What seems like a lifetime ago, while living in the beautiful state of Washington, I began creating with a small team to tell a fascinating story. The movie, ‘5 Hours To Georgia’.
The framework tells a story of an individual traversing conditions of Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and bipolar disorder. Within the story, adjacent characters, in parallel, attempt to advocate and help using religious ideology, human connection and mental health services. These complicated characters, through self-centered actions and shaped by trauma, all shape a story that is unforgettable.
Looking back, our production team at ‘Loving Life Productions’, led by the incredible LaKesha Lorene and Tiffany Wolfork, was small with limited recourses. We collectively created something special. As the composer, I felt a freedom of sculpting within a framework of minimalism, creating motifs and sonic characters that, to me, magnify moments of profound arch’s, emotional dialogue and at the core, human connection. Oscillating between the worlds of vintage live electronic keyboards and chamber-based classical music, I couldn’t be more proud of what was created.
‘5 Hours To Georgia’ can now be streamed on TUBI. The soundtrack is available to stream worldwide.
